Recorded in the pristine, Hollywood-proven ambience of Stage A, each instrument of Synchron Special Brass captures not only its unique tonal identity, but also the natural spatial depth and clarity that have become synonymous with the Synchron Series. From heroic low-end foundations to warm, lyrical inner voices, these instruments provide both weight and nuance for film, game, and concert music alike.
The Wagner Tuba, originally conceived by Richard Wagner for his Ring cycle, fills the tonal space between horn and trombone with a noble, historically rich voice, traditionally performed by horn players. The Contrabass Trombone extends the trombone family into its lowest register, delivering a dark, metallic timbre capable of shifting from restrained solemnity to thunderous power. With its velvety, singing tone, the Euphonium adds refined warmth and lyrical expressiveness, while the Contrabass Tuba anchors the brass section with the deepest and richest resonance of the family, offering a rounder, darker timbre than its smaller counterparts.
All four Single Packs feature a comprehensive set of articulations, including short and long notes, various legato types, dynamic articulations such as crescendos and decrescendos in multiple lengths, as well as trills, flutter tongue, and repetitions where applicable. Multiple microphone positions and expertly crafted mixer presets allow users to seamlessly integrate each instrument into any orchestral, cinematic, or experimental context.
