After a hiatus of nearly four years, Vanguard Audio's acclaimed V34C Lolli capsule is coming back. The V34C gen2 will launch in September 2026. Vanguard Audio's TEC-nominated V34C gen2 "Lolli" is unique in design, offering a multi-pattern large-diaphragm solution for our minimalist, super-clean V1 gen2 JFET pencil condenser engine. This combination results in an open, honest, uncolored capture of the source. Amazing on piano, perfect on percussion, it's downright radiant on acoustic guitars, mando and violin.
The V34C gen2 Lolli houses an extra-large 34mm edge-terminated, gold-sputtered 3µm Mylar dual-capsule assembly custom-voiced with a proprietary hand-tuning process. Cozy in its shockmount saddle, the Lolli's retro-aesthetic chassis is CNC-machined from solid aircraft-grade aluminum billets. Open-weave mesh, carefully radiused interior, and precision-machined venting prevent standing reflections and allow for an “open-air” voicing.
Vanguard Audio Labs designed the Lolli around the same capsule they use in their V44S and V13 microphones. The capsule is voiced for warm, full lows, a precise and detailed midrange, and buttery-smooth high end, a combination of hallmarks from yesteryear’s iconic microphones. The ultra-thin, edge-terminated diaphragms result in incredible sensitivity and detail. The switch on the top of the V34C gen2 capsule allows the user to switch between cardioid and omnidirectional, making your microphone even more versatile When married to the V1 gen2 Pencil Condenser, the Lolli will open new doors of perception in your recordings.
