The HDSPe AoX-M is built to handle high-density audio with ease. In its default configuration, the card supports up to 16 streams of eight audio channels each - delivering 128 channels at sampling rates up to 192kHz. Through extended formats, users can scale up to 512 audio channels across an AVB network, all featuring fixed latency and automatic bandwidth allocation. Crucially, RME’s MILAN implementation runs encapsulated on the card itself. This architecture operates independently of the host operating system, ensuring maximum reliability. The host OS simply detects the card as a standard audio interface utilizing RME's renowned Hammerfall driver ecosystem, known globally for its stability.
