MSolutions MS-RSE-G

MSolutions, a supplier of AV cabling, collaboration, extension and test devices, will bring the North American debut of its MS-RSE-G secure control device to InfoComm 2026, introducing AV professionals to an ultra-compact and versatile solution for managing IP and legacy serial devices across enterprise, education and commercial AV environments. MSolutions will exhibit on the booth of Stirling Communications (C7685), its US distributor for the duration of the show.

Now shipping, the ultra-compact (60x37x23mm) MS-RSE-G device gives installers the freedom to place and conceal devices almost anywhere in a building to monitor and control RS-232-connected equipment, including extenders, motorized shades and other legacy systems. The device also acts as a bridge between IP and UART (RS-232), supporting secure data translation between IP and serial communication protocols.

The MS-RSE-G was originally designed to help enterprises centrally manage meeting room technology distributed across large facilities, bringing legacy serial-controlled devices onto the IP network for enhanced visibility and monitoring. Since its debut earlier this year, integrators have also discovered new applications in commercial and residential shading systems, particularly for widely deployed motorized shade platforms that rely on RS-232 control.

“An installer approached us asking for a solution that could simplify management of motorized shades, which traditionally only support RS-232 serial control,” said Eliran Toren, CEO of MSolutions. “Now integrators can place those systems onto the IP network for centralized management and visibility while maintaining reliable serial control. It opened a completely new market opportunity that we hadn’t originally envisioned.”

The MS-RSE-G connects to any IP network and provides continuous monitoring of connected devices through secure encrypted SSH over IP connections. Its triple-interface support (RS-232, USB-A and IP) offers exceptional versatility for mixed AV environments spread across large buildings, campuses and enterprise facilities. MSolutions also confirmed that a future MS-RSE-G hardware revision scheduled for the second half of 2026 will add PoE (Power over Ethernet) capability, allowing the unit to receive power directly from the network and further simplifying installation requirements. “That means a single network connection for both communication and power,” added Toren, “which makes installation even cleaner and more efficient for large-scale deployments.”

Interest in the device continues to grow among enterprise customers and AV integrators. MSolutions recently secured a major deployment opportunity involving approximately 600 rooms for a large corporate enterprise customer, underscoring the growing demand for secure and compact mediation devices that unify modern IP infrastructure with legacy serial-controlled technologies.

InfoComm 2026 takes place June 17-19 at the Las Vegas Convention Center.
