How to resolve AdBlock issue? Moog One Scott McAuley Sound Bank
The Bob Moog Foundation announces One, a custom 50-preset soundbank for the Moog One polyphonic synthesizer, created by lauded Scottish sound designer Scott McAuley. All proceeds benefit the Foundation’s work in education, archive preservation, and the operations of the Moogseum, located in downtown Asheville. Scott McAuley, sound designer, producer, and synthesizer expert with over 30 years of experience, is known for creating custom analog synth patches for music, film, and game, including work for Star Citizen, a first-person space simulator and MMO (massively multiplayer online) game developed by Cloud Imperium Games. He operates synthsounds.co.uk, creating patches for 30 hardware synthesizers like the Moog One, Nord Lead, Oberheim TEO-5, Arturia PolyBrute and many more.
“It has been my absolute pleasure to create this bank for such a worthy cause. The Bob Moog Foundation is such a great organisation run by amazing people, their passion for their work, not only preserving the legacy of Dr Bob Moog, but providing hands on fun and education to people of all ages through the science of sound,” noted Scott McAuley. “I really hope this exclusive bank helps in some way to bring some extra funding to BMF in the best way I know how.”
The patches in the One soundbank, made from over 100 different sounds, include bass, bell, funk, keys, leads, organ, pads, performance, poly, sequence, strings, sweeps, and more. “The Bob Moog Foundation is proud to offer this custom preset pack celebrating the flagship Moog One polyphonic synthesizer,” notes Michelle Moog-Koussa, Executive Director of the Bob Moog Foundation. “We are deeply grateful to Scott McAuley for creating this pack to benefit our important work, and to help expand the sonic possibilities for Moog One users around the world.”
Moog One, introduced in 2018 as the first polyphonic analog synthesizer sold under the Moog brand in more than three decades, is a tri-timbral polyphonic analog synthesizer. Moog One was developed following years of research into polyphonic analog instrument design. Available in 8-voice and 16-voice configurations, Moog One’s polyphonic sound engine is built on an advanced synthesizer architecture. Per voice, Moog One offers three analog VCOs, two independent analog filters, a dual source analog noise generator, analog mixer with external audio input, four LFOs, and three envelopes. Each of the three timbres can be easily split or layered across Moog One’s expressive 61-note keyboard, each with its own sequencer, arpeggiator, and onboard effects library, including a suite of professional reverbs from Eventide.
