Arturia introduces Pigments Play, a free software synthesizer that distills the power of Pigments into a focused, approachable instrument for first-time sound designers and fast-moving producers.

Explore 100 presets created by expert sound designers and selected for modern pop, R&B, garage, house, drum and bass, trap, ambient and beyond. Filter sounds by type or instrument using the streamlined browser. Every preset is paired with an animated visual that responds to your performance and sound edits. Four macros bring each preset’s most expressive parameters to the surface, letting you reshape its tone, movement and character as you play.

Discover sounds created with Modal, Granular, Wavetable, Sample, Harmonic and Virtual Analog synthesis. Explore 50+ filter modes and 20 effects through a focused interface that keeps every change clear, immediate and musical.

Use Pigments Play as a standalone instrument or inside your DAW. Automatic parameter mapping provides hands-on integration with Arturia keyboards, while controls can also be assigned to third-party MIDI controllers. Access more than 200 artist- and genre-based sound banks through the integrated Sound Store, with new free and paid content added regularly.

Pigments Play is available as a free download for Windows and macOS, running standalone or inside a DAW.
