Alfatron Electronics, a manufacturer of products for the AV market, is pleased to announce the VB100 Video Soundbar. Featuring an integrated camera, microphone, and loudspeaker, this powerful, all-in-one video soundbar delivers world-class performance designed to transform medium-sized meeting rooms into highly functional video collaboration spaces. Featuring a 4K Ultra-HD camera with AI face tracking and an ultra-wide 120° field of view, the new VB100 clearly captures all participants - ensuring they can be actively engaged in the meeting. To provide excellent audio performance, the VB100 includes an integrated microphone array with up to 5 meters / 16.4 feet of voice pickup range. Further, optional wireless and wired microphones are available.
Of particular note, the VB100 offers three operational modes: Speaker Tracking, Auto Framing, and Auto Tiling. Speaker Tracking ensures accurate following of the person currently speaking. Auto Framing identifies person or persons in view and places them inside a tighter frame to focus only on participants in a bigger room, while Auto Tiling mode selects multiple participants (up to 6 maximum) and frames each one inside their own window. As with its camera and microphone attributes, the new VB100 features a hi-fidelity true-voice loudspeaker that delivers clear, natural sounding audio playback. The VB100’s exceptional audio performance is vital to ensure that meeting participants can clearly hear and understand what is being said.
To further ensure the best possible audio performance, the VB100 includes Smart DSP audio processing, including Acoustic Echo Cancellation (AES), Automatic Noise Cancellation, and Automatic Gain Control. In a meeting room with hard surfaces (floor and walls), the Echo Cancellation can deliver a sound free of any echo that may negatively impact speech intelligibility. Similarly, the unit’s Noise Cancellation helps filter out background noise, while Automatic Gain Control makes necessary adjustments to the audio output level to help ensure even sounding speech.
For those who prefer a more centrally located microphone arrangement in a meeting, Alfatron Electronics offers two optional microphone solutions. The Alfatron ALF-MIC100W is an available system of four wireless microphones while the ALF-MIC100 is a single wired microphone. In both cases, the use of the optional microphone systems will override the built-in microphone array of the VB100.
