Danish Audiophile Loudspeaker Industries (DALI) announces SONIK, a next-generation loudspeaker series designed to redefine performance, design and accessibility for music and home cinema fans. Representing the most significant evolution of DALI’s category-defining approach since the release of the award-winning OBERON series in 2018, SONIK once again allows DALI to deliver high-performance loudspeakers for all music and movie fans. DALI SONIK enters the market as the company’s most comprehensive and forward-thinking lineup to date. With seven models covering every use case (from compact stereo to full-scale home cinema) SONIK addresses two key audiences: the seasoned audiophile and the design-driven newcomer entering the world of high-fidelity sound.

The series fits seamlessly into DALI’s product line-up and is uniquely engineered to deliver class-leading performance through innovations derived from the flagship DALI KORE, EPIKORE and EPICON ranges. These enhancements include improved transducer design, advanced magnet technologies and refined cabinet engineering, all distilled into a range that remains inviting, accessible, and easy to integrate into any home. SONIK delivers a significant leap in detail, dynamics and musicality at the price point.

This is driven through key, proprietary technologies, including:

  • Ultra-light 29mm Soft Dome Tweeter – engineered for low loss, wide dispersion, and a remarkably coherent upper midrange, supported by a newly developed aluminium faceplate for enhanced bandwidth and performance.
  • DALI Hybrid Tweeter System (SONIK 7 and SONIK 9) – A fusion of a 29 mm dome tweeter with a 17 × 45mm planar magnetostatic tweeter, combining dynamic precision with extended high-frequency finesse. This hybrid array delivers extraordinary dispersion and high-frequency detail.
  • Low-Loss Bass & Midrange Drivers – Available in 5¼-inch and 7-inch variants, featuring DALI’s Clarity Cone membrane structure crafted from paper and wood fibre. This combination ensures effortless dynamics and natural midrange reproduction while minimising coloration.
  • SMC Essential Magnet System – This patented architecture technology, originating from the EPICON series, drastically reduces third-order harmonic distortion through a hybrid iron/SMC pole-piece design. Its efficiency and low-loss characteristics give SONIK a level of refinement typically found only in loudspeakers at much higher price levels.
  • Dual Flare Bass Reflex Ports – The Dual Flare bass ports are optimised for timing, low turbulence and clean low-frequency extension. The ON-WALL and CINEMA models feature specialised on-wall and front-firing reflex port configurations for placement-friendly performance.

These technologies come together to deliver DALI’s signature qualities: clarity, holographic imaging, low loss and wide dispersion, ensuring SONIK’s sound remains open, dynamic and emotionally compelling at any listening level.

SONIK is crafted with a design philosophy that is unmistakably DALI: clean, modern and premium without excess. Each model features:

  • Custom-designed magnetic grilles
  • Sleek aluminium tweeter faceplates
  • New in-house-developed terminals offering robust and flexible connectivity
  • Updated logo badges and baffles inspired by DALI’s flagship EPIKORE design language
  • Aluminium spike outriggers (on floorstanding models) providing exceptional stability and aesthetic presence

The cabinets employ CNC-machined MDF, rigid internal bracing, high-grade vinyl finishes, and separate chambers for bass drivers, resulting in reduced resonance and improved timing accuracy. SONIK is available in four premium finishes: Black Ash, Walnut, Natural Oak and White.

Standmount Models

  • SONIK 1 – ultra-compact, versatile and ideal for small rooms or discreet installations.
  • SONIK 3 – compact with a fuller, richer output suited for stands or shelves.

Floorstanding Models

  • SONIK 5 – slim, space-conscious, and detailed.
  • SONIK 7 – powerful and refined for medium to large rooms.
  • SONIK 9 – the flagship, employing a hybrid tweeter and three 7-inch drivers for breathtaking scale.

On-wall and home cinema models:

  • SONIK ON-WALL – slim, stylish and engineered with a smart on-wall reflex port for impressive output from a discreet profile.
  • SONIK CINEMA – a full-blooded home-cinema solution with front-firing ports, rotatable logo and flexible horizontal/vertical orientation.
