RØDE has today announced a major free firmware update across its premium wireless range, with Wireless GO (Gen 3) and Wireless PRO now boasting Direct Connect, a powerful capability that allows users to connect directly to iOS devices without the need for a physical receiver. Direct Connect, first introduced with Wireless Micro, enables Wireless GO (Gen 3) and Wireless PRO transmitters to pair with iPhones via Bluetooth® using the free RØDE Capture app. This eliminates the need for any additional hardware or accessories, dramatically streamlining mobile setups while preserving the broadcast-quality audio both wireless systems are known for.

In-app output gain control also makes it easy to adjust recording levels on the fly for consistently balanced results.
