Lectrosonics Firmware Updates for Simultaneous Recording

Lectrosonics REC TX

Lectrosonics announces a set of firmware updates available for users outside the United States to allow for simultaneous recording and transmitting in certain transmitter models. From today forward, all units of DBSM, DBSMD, DPR-A, SMWB, and SMDWB for non-U.S. markets will come with the new firmware.

Users outside the US or Canada already owning these models with /X, /E01, /E06, and /E09 market identifiers, and also the DPR/E01, can download updated firmware for installation in the field. Precise instructions for performing the upgrade will be available from the Lectrosonics web site by visiting the website below. Users outside the US or Canada desiring the update and with transmitter model numbers not including E01, E06, or X should email service.repair(at)lectrosonics.com for more details. Users with existing units in Canada desiring the update will be required to send their units to the Lectrosonics Canada office in Toronto.

US users with these transmitter models are not eligible for the feature upgrade at this time. “Our customers worldwide have long asked for the ability to transmit and record simultaneously,” states Karl Winkler, Lectrosonics’ EVP of product design and distribution. “We’re pleased to now offer that feature for our international customers.”
