Successful start for Studioszene

With the premiere of Studioszene in Cologne’s XPOST on 6th and 7th September 2019, the audio industry has established a refreshingly lively event as a new international meeting place for producers, engineers and manufacturers. On an exhibition area of almost 3,000 square metres, visitors had the opportunity to test products from well over 100 brands and to have detailed discussions with product specialists and developers. The two-day programme was complemented by more than 50 top-class workshops and panel discussions, in which audio industry heavyweights such as Sylvia Massy, Mick Guzauski, Peter Walsh, Nico Rebscher, Wolfgang Stach and Hans-Martin Buff spoke about recording, production and mastering.

With its own hands-on area lead by analogvibes, Don Audio and the organiser, a large focus was also placed on the steadily growing DIY community. With well over 800 international visitors and fully booked seminars, Studioszene also easily exceeded all forecasts and expectations.

Organiser Marc Bohn is enthusiastic about Studioszene’s premiere: “The visitor feedback is really outstanding, which both honours us as organizers and positively confirms the need for a corresponding platform! In close cooperation with the industry, with the first Studioszene we have managed to lay a solid foundation for the future. We must now seize this opportunity and, together with the audio industry, further develop Studioszene in line with its potential as a valuable interface between practice, knowledge transfer and technology.

The fact that Studioszene’s conclusive concept of presenting an industry event on an equal footing in Cologne this year has been fully successful is proven not only by the determinable numbers – but also by the extremely positive vibes that the event left with guests and hosts alike, and that these are already fostering enthusiasm for the next Studioszene in 2020.
