SOLID STATE LOGIC AT THE 145TH AES CONVENTION
Solid State Logic will be showcasing a wide range of new and enhanced technologies and tools from its studio, broadcast, and live portfolios at 145th AES Convention this year, including the new Fusion processor.
The New York Convention will see the international debut of the SSL Fusion - an original analogue stereo processor created for the modern hybrid studio, with five completely new colouration tools. Visitors will get the chance to experience Fusion up-close and hear for themselves what a difference it can make.
Fusion includes Vintage Drive (non-linear harmonic enhancement), Violet EQ (new minimum phase-shift, two-band shelving EQ), High Frequency Compressor (transparent harshness reduction and a tape-like high-frequency roll off), Stereo Image (true analogue Mid-Side spacial manipulation), and Transformer (custom-designed SSL Transformer circuit).
Also in the Studio range, SSL will be showing several of its hybrid studio technologies, including the new Native 6 plug-in bundle, the AWS 948 delta SuperAnalogueTM console, the X-Rack modular system with Total Recall™, and the SSL Sigma delta remote controlled analogue summing mixer.
SSL will also be bringing the System T broadcast audio production environment to AES, showcasing the large-format S500 control surface and the TCR (Tempest Control Rack) control solution, with production automation demonstration.
AES Visitors will also be able to explore the new immersive audio features in System T, including 3D panning, expanded path widths and FX compatibility, and 12-channel monitoring.
The flagship SSL Live L500 Plus console, loaded with the new version 4.7 software, will also be at the exhibition, alongside the new 12-fader Remote Tile.
Version 4.7 Live software brings enhanced Super Query and control features, a new Transfer Function Analyser Tool, and a new Auto Pan effect. The new Remote Tile provides a simple way to add additional faders to any SSL Live console, or to a PC running the SSL SOLSA control and configuration application.
