Since its opening in 1950, the “Theater an der Parkaue” - Junges Staatstheater Berlin has developed into a major institution on the children's and youth theatre scene. As part of the ongoing complete renovation, SALZBRENNER media equipped the 1911 building with state-of-the-art sound equipment and AV technology.

On three stages and in its arts education work, the “Theater an der Parkaue” offers schools, families and visitors of all ages a wide range of opportunities to experience the art of theatre, from classical productions to modern forms of performance. Between 2014 and 2023 the building will be completely renovated.

The building contractor, BIM Berliner Immobilienmanagement GmbH, decided to equip the premises with high-quality sound and AV technology. The Franconian system integrator installed the new hall sound system with a loudspeaker system (d&b) which was mounted using brackets manufactured specially SALZBRENNER media. In addition, the company expanded the Stage Tec NEXUS digital auto-routing system including an update of the AURUS digital mixing console, which can now be controlled via Virtual Surface from a tablet in the hall.

The experts from Buttenheim installed the new hall sound system including power amplifiers in the new technology rack in the roof area. All further modifications and extensions took place in the existing theatre sound control room, which has been using NEXUS and AURUS for years as an existing customer.

In this project SALZBRENNER media benefited from many years of experience in the professional installation and calibration of public address and audio systems as well as from its broad knowledge of the product range in the theatre sector.
