As the broadcast technology is moving fast, so Ferncast is improving its audio codecs with new design and new functionalities. Both fernStudio and fernStudio Light will be delivered in 2020 with a new white front panel, pure and elegant. Hauke Krüger, PhD and CEO of Ferncast, said: “In 2020 technology will meet design to propose the best streaming and audio transmission solutions to our customers. Besides the outstanding performance, the Ferncast devices will become real eyecatchers in the studios’ setup.”

The fernStudio is the perfect audio codec solution for sound and branch studios as well as OB vans. With only ½ 19’’ and 1 RU, it offers 8 channels in and out simultaneously analog and digital on board and AES67 Support. It is also the perfect choice for handling multiple SIP connections at once, allowing up to 8 inputs or outputs. Hauke Krüger explained: “Recent improvements in the management of SIP calls mean that your SIP calls are ready in two to three clicks, all handled in one clear menu, thanks to the integration of phonebook and codec management features into the same call menu. Managing multiple SIP contacts has never been easier."

The fernStudio Light is more compact than the fernStudio and ideal for smaller applications. It is the perfect low-cost 2 channels solution to get a professional audio codec supporting all algorithms and protocols. Ferncast is now offering the fernstudio Light in a special Transcoding Package which enables the user to get reliable and professional DVB transcoding via MPEG TS with all established algorithms supported.

Both solutions are powered by aixtream software and are available now for sale in Europe.
Ferncast will be at the European Radio Show in Paris from the 23th to the 25th January 2020 in the German Pavilion, stand A06 and will present the new white fernStudio Light and aixtream, its scalable software solution.
