Swiss R&D engineers to reunite

Here a press release from Simplexity GmbH: Recent announcements by Lawo and Studer to cease their product development activities in Zürich present a unique opportunity to acquire talented R&D engineers and valuable technology know-how. For decades, Zürich has been the hub of innovation for the professional audio/video market and a birthplace of world-renowned products. An industry insider, Stefan Ledergerber, quoted: “These colleagues have an unbelievable track record of delivering ground breaking products to our industry which are both innovative and reliable. They are the people behind well-known products like Studer Vista, Studer On-Air and Soundcraft Vi consoles while some have contributed large parts to Lawo’s commentary unit, its IP management software and A-Line.”

The new Zürich-based company “Simplexity GmbH” is considering acquiring talent and technology know-how from the dislocated innovation hub in Zürich. Simplexity was founded by Stefan Ledergerber in 2016 and provides IP network training and consulting services to distributors, manufacturers and their clients. Stefan Ledergerber views the current development as a unique growth opportunity. He states: “By hiring these talents, Simplexity would be able to offer complete product developments or deliver specific parts of it. This is a unique opportunity for manufacturers to expand their audio capabilities in topics such as audio hardware, signal processing on off-the-shelf PCs, but especially IP control software and stunning intuitive user interfaces for all kinds of applications. We are talking to some potential partners already, but want to make sure that the industry knows about this opportunity to get engaged as an investor or long-term client.”
