ARES5A – 2-way stereo active loudspeaker system from AUDAC

AUDAC ARES5A

Belgian pro audio manufacturer AUDAC has introduced their new stereo active loudspeaker system to the market. ARES5A is a brand-new dynamic loudspeaker pair combining an active and passive model and is housing the technology of 2 predecessors into one single solution. High-quality components were used to construct this two-way loudspeaker, resulting in a 5 ¼” woofer and a ½” high-frequency tweeter. The construction together with an integrated DSP ensures an extremely clear and powerful sound experience for a wide range of applications.

A dynamic power distribution of 2 x 40 Watt can be delivered thanks to the integrated amplifier. The loudspeaker features a stereo line input and a balanced terminal block connection, allowing convenient connection to any kind of audio source.

When no input signal is detected, the auto-standby mode reduces power consumption, making the ARES5A Energy Star compliant. A switch at the back of the device permits to enable and disable this audio standby mode when needed.

As with any audio solution they design, AUDAC has attached great importance to the installer convenience of the loudspeaker. The ABS enclosure and mounting bracket that blends aesthetically into the cabinet itself provide an even more sleek and modern look and allows the loudspeaker to be installed close to a wall. Versatile mounting options are possible, this way the loudspeaker can to be mounted both horizontally and vertically with an inclination up to 45° on both sides, enabling to position it in the right direction. Due to the fact that the bracket itself consists of 2 45° corners, installation in corners or even ceiling can easily be achieved. In addition, AUDAC constructed an optional MBK455 angled mounting bracket set, which permits extra inclination of 90° when needed.

A remote input connection implemented through a RJ45 connector permits WP2xx universal wall panel connections, allowing expansion of the system through remote input modules and guarantees easy controllability. A variety of optional remote input units with different input possibilities is available, including a Bluetooth connection, a line input connection and XLR input for plugging in any preferred microphones.

The user-friendliness goes even further than controlling a single ARES set, as one wall panel allows you to control and share the mixable inputs to up to four ARES sets and quickly change input and/or volume.

This versatility makes the ARES a complete solution for a very wide range of applications. The ARES5A 2-way stereo active system is available now.
