Mackie Increases Mixer Performance

M-80-Op-Amp-photo

Mackie today announces a partnership with New Japan Radio Corporation to develop a new op-amp exclusively for Mackie mixers. The new M-80 op-amp performs exceptionally well, offering low noise, high drive and class-leading channel separation. Implementation into the existing Onyx, VLZ3 and ProFX series mixers is currently in progress.

"We are exceedingly happy with the design from New Japan Radio," remarked Nathan O'Neill, VP Engineering for LOUD's MG Group. "The M-80 op-amp improves both channel separation and stereo field clarity, making multi-track recordings and stereo mixdowns more realistic. Our mixer designs are never
final. If there is a way to improve performance, we will always follow that path."

The M-80 op-amp is an improved version of the NJM4580, utilizing additional technology derived from NJR's flagship "MUSES" series sound op-amps. Aside from increased performance specs, the
M-80 op-amp also features the Mackie "Running Man" logo.

The new M-80 op-amp will be on display during NAMM in Mackie's upstairs showroom in Demo Room 209A/B from January 19-22, 2012 in Anaheim, CA.
