Audio-Technica Improves Infrared Conference System

AT-ATCS

Audio-Technica is to unveil new transmitter and receiver antennas for its ATCS-60 infrared conference system at ISE 2012. Designed to increase the operating range of the ATCS-60 and allow for greater portability, the new antenna system consists of the ATCS-A60MX controller unit, ATCS-A60TX transmitter and ATCS-A60RX receiver.

The ATCS-A60RX more than doubles the range of the current ATCS-60 system, to approximately 15 metres. This significant improvement enables systems to be used in high-ceiling locations and, importantly, installations where antennas are positioned from the side, making the new receiver ideal for portable applications. This adds welcome flexibility to the ATCS-60, allowing for use in changing conference environments.

The ATCS-A60MX controller unit can drive up to four ATCS-A60TX transmitters (which have a range of 20 metres) and four ATCS-A60RX receivers – up to four controllers can be connected to the ATCS-C60 central unit to allow for a maximum of sixteen transmitters and receivers to be employed in an installation.

Both new antennas are equipped with a 1/4" thread for mounting, and it is possible to locate TX and RX units directly next to one another, enabling easy mounting options.

The new additions to the ATCS-60 conference system will be displayed on the Audio-Technica booth 1K78 throughout ISE 2012.
