Skindred Guitarist Mikey Demus In Latest Audio-Technica Artist Interview Video

Audio-Technica has released the second part of its artist interview video series featuring British ragga-metal outfit Skindred. The follow-up to the recent Allen & Heath iLive mixer feature sees guitarist Mikey Demus talking viewers through his use of Audio-Technica's AE2500 dual-element dynamic/condenser mic and 3000 Series wireless units.

The AE2500 is tasked with delivering the sonic assault of Demus's impressive guitar rig (also detailed in the video), while the recently-installed 3000b guitar transmitter has freed him to – as he reveals in the video – "run around and do backflips" while on tour.

Demus goes on to say, "the AE2500 gives a great, focused sound with a really tight bottom end. It's the first time we've used a mic on the guitar cabs and haven't had to mash the sound on the desk. Our front of house guy just leaves it flat, which is pretty amazing – it just captures everything that's coming out of the cab."
