Company hires pro audio vet as Director of Customer Experience
Minnetonka Audio Software, Inc. announced today the hiring of Oliver A. Masciarotte, former principal at Seneschal, a professional services consultancy based in California.
Masciarotte, an invited presenter at trade conferences as diverse as the Association For Independent Music and the O'Reilly Emerging Technology Conference, has provided technical services, marketing communications and strategic planning for a wide range of technology providers, including Apple, Harper Collins, NASA Johnson, NPR, the San Francisco Symphony, Sony, Universal and WHYY. As the co-founder of dHouse, the world's first independent DVD production house, Masciarotte has written well over one hundred trade articles and has served as a contributing editor to dB, Mix and Surround Professional magazines. At Minnetonka Audio, his extensive experience will be harnessed to improve all aspects of the user experience, from service and support to branding and product development.
"2012 will be a banner year for Minnetonka Audio, and Oliver was brought on-board to solidify our service department and lend his expertise to our sales channels and development initiatives," said Jayson Tomlin, VP of Sales at Minnetonka Audio. "We will be increasing our market reach and expanding our OEM developer services mix this coming year, and we wanted someone with a broad range of experience to help with our expansion."
Company president John Schur was also looking toward the future when he approved the hire. "The first requirement was to increase the carrying capacity of our support and marketing departments," Schur said. "Our customer base is changing as our product offerings mature, and we are moving increasingly into enterprise-class products like AudioTools Server. We needed someone to translate customer feedback on ATS into next generation enhancements. Masciarotte was a perfect fit for us on all counts.
Masciarotte is a graduate of the Lowell Institute of MIT, and is an active member of the AES and the SMPTE, and is a lifetime member of the Digital Cinema Society. He currently resides in Minneapolis and is based at Minnetonka Audio's US office at 17113 Minnetonka Boulevard.
