Grimm Audio releases real time loudness meters and updates loudness suite

Grimm Audio introduces LeveView and LevelViewS, two breakthrough real time loudness meters. LevelView is a highly innovative meter, based upon the 'Bendy Meter' concept of BBC Research. It gives the user continuous insight in recent loudness levels of the program material. Additionally all EBU and ATSC loudness descriptors are displayed, and LevelView shows a histogram of the measured loudness distribution. The RTAS/AU/VST plugin automatically follows the DAW's transport movements. The package also offers a standalone version of LevelView, that directly monitors sound card inputs. A unique feature is the master/slave function that facilitates monitoring of another LevelView via a LAN or WAN network. Using this option, a plugin can be monitored on a separate dedicated meter screen or a central measurement can be checked from several positions, even via the internet.
LevelViewS is a plugin that is designed especially for producers of short program material like commercials. For short programs, you just want a clear view of the most important loudness parameters: the Integrated, Short term and Momentary loudness levels. Like with LevelView, the top of the meters' arch is the target level, which is easy to track even from the corner of one's eye. LevelViewS can be bought separately as a price effective plugin at €140, but is included the main LevelView package as well.
The Avid file normalizer LevelNorm has seen a small but important update: it now offers one click normalizing in the Avid Media Composer environment. Our batch normalizer LevelOne has also seen an interesting update: it now features lossless MPEG 1 layer 2 normalization.
